Students, staff, and parents are welcome to visit the ASPV libraries to browse our collections, check out materials, do class-related research, study, and use the computers. The school librarians, Miss Julieta Valdés, Elementary School Librarian, and Miss Stephanie Kempker, Middle & High School Librarian, are responsible for the libraries’ role as literacy and information hubs for supporting student achievement.

We provide a variety of books and magazines as well as computers and Wi-Fi service in our libraries. Our total collection includes over 14,000 titles of books and audio visual materials. Our print magazine selection includes over thirty titles. We have an online library catalog, Destiny, as well as the Explora database, both can be accessed from anywhere with internet connection.

The mission of the ASPV School Library is to teach students to be effective users of information in the 21st century and responsible and ethical citizens as they learn how to research. This mission is accomplished through:

  • providing instruction in information literacy
  • providing physical and intellectual access to information materials in a variety of formats and media
  • stimulating interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas
  • working with teachers to develop instructional strategies to meet the information needs of students
  • supporting educational objectives of the school curriculum.
