The 11th grade students with Miss Brenda, presented a small play divided into 3 acts, based on a historical story that the students wrote in the Mexican History class for the annual contest of the Ibero University.
The story chosen to represent it on this occasion was written by Camila and adapted to a theatre script by the students themselves. The story tells the historical period of 1929 and is based on a letter left by Antonieta Rivas Mercado to her 11-year-old son to explain his death. The play takes as its historical backdrop the stormy relationship between Antonieta Rivas Mercado and José Vasconcelos and their electoral campaign against the official candidate Pascual Ortiz Rubio.
The work was carried out in its entirety by all the students of the 11th grade group. They were in charge of the scenography, costumes, sound arrangements, music, acting, script, direction, lights, planning and distribution of the scenes. The result was a 20-minute play that was a complete success.
