HS Graduation Ceremony

We celebrated our senior's graduation with a safety-first ceremony, which still allowed us to honor each of our class graduates with heart-felt dedications from their teachers, to listen to our amazing Diego and Mariana perform Imagine with a message of empathy to the world, and to laugh with our Valedictorians' speeches. Thank you ASPV families for being part of this special night. Best of luck to the class of 2020!

Kinder 3 Museums

Kinder 3 has been studying museums with Miss Leza. They went on virtual field trips to the Museum of Natural History in New York and to the Louvre in Paris. Then, students chose one type of museum to specialize in. They could choose a natural history museum or an art museum.
They each had to create sculptures, paintings or posters and a hands on activity that their museum guests could do. Naturally, all of these different exhibits involved measuring, writing, investigating, measuring, money counting, etc in their daily activities.
The culminating activity was a "Night at the Museum" with their families. They had to give us all a virtual tour of their museums. It was an exciting new project exploring project-based learning in the midst of distant learning.

Earth Day Art

April 22 was the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and a unique moment in time to share and appreciate our connection to nature and to each other. ASPV joined the World Wildlife Fund in inviting each and every student to create pieces of art that show the importance of nature, the ways in which it inspires us, and what it personally means to them. Please share your art with the digital world using the hashtag #ArtForEarth and #EarthDayASVP. We will take all the pieces of art that are uploaded to create a collage that celebrates ASPV's commitment to our earth! Here are a few examples that our students submitted!
